22th day of June 1998 at the so called “Salad Bowl of Pagudpud”, Brgy. 13. Aggasi, Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte was the time when Mr. Danilo S. Bautista and Mrs. Lory A. Bautista heard the first cry of their second daughter. They can’t hide the tears dropped on their faces as a sign of happiness.
I started my life at the side of my parents which means I can’t live without them. I was raised to have fear in God. My mother is a pastor and my father is a farmer. Their love to each other bore three fruits. Thea-Lou A. Bautista, my sister who will be getting married and my brother Lordan Dave A. Bautista who is a first year student at present.
I entered serving God since I was a child. Now that I grew older, I am one of the praise and worship leaders in our church. I am also a teacher of little kids. I read them stories in the bible, explaining words of God and teaching how to play tambourine.
I felt the true love of my parents since then until now. When I was still in my lower grades, they showed their support. They never left me. So I did my best on my studies because they do not want me to fail. As an exchange to their sacrifices, just to pay back, I was an honor pupil from Day Care to Grade IV at Aggasi Primary School as well as in Grade V and Grade VI at Luzong Elementary School. Also, an honor student at Luzong National High School. I am a consistent honor student since then and these made my parents very proud.
Our life is too simple but full of love, joy and laughter. I had proven that “Poverty is not a hindrance to Success”. Achieving a dream doesn’t only need wealth, what matters most is you have dedication, passion and you treasure what you are doing. Taking up Bachelor of Elementary Education Major in General Education at Mariano Marcos State University-College of Teacher Education is not a joke. Too many obstacles to surpass but I believe that he will never leave me. Now that I’m already a fourth year student, I will not stop dreaming, I will soar high because I want to be a teacher. A teacher who does not only teach and inspire children but also to open their doors us they continue to step the roads and paths they may take.
I am a person who is able to combine two things: Academics and Leadership. I don’t want to balance both because one might fall so all I need to do is to embrace them both. I want to possess altruism. A lady who is selfless and who shows care and love to other people.
In my 20 years of existence, I had proven myself as I showcased my talents. I am a singer, dancer, composer of songs, writer, speaker, journalist, actress, athlete and a beauty queen as well. I am known as skilled-person. I joined many contested events and mostly I won. I can say that talents are not born, you just need to discover and develop it.
This is the story of my life. I am a woman who continuously evolving and listing plans in the air as I travel through my journey. In every footstep I will make, I am pretty sure that I will be able to create stronger and more mature Twinkle Joy A. Bautista. After I graduate, I want to teach in private schools while waiting for the BLEPT(Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teacher) result to gain more experiences. My plans also are to support my brother on his studies in college and to pay my dept to my parents. I may not be able to pay their sacrifices but I want to give them a better life and a better living, better than the life we have today. I also want to help those people who are in need especially my cousins and relatives who contributed a lot on my studies .
“Be the best version of yourself!”
